Now if that marvelous picture above doesn't say enough to you about what Santa Barbara's Wine Country has to offer, then someone overestimated when they said a picture is worth a thousand words! So just incase here's a little excerpt about the magnificent wine country of Santa Barbara County and who better than the SB County Vintner's assn. to describe it;

"Breathtaking vistas overlook valleys and mountains studded with ancient oaks, brilliant wild flowers and magnificent vineyards. Taking a leisurely country drive allows you to fully appreciate the winemaking experience while viewing the ever changing seasons. Pruning in the winter, bud break in spring, canopy management in summer, culminates with the fall harvest. It is a wonderful discovery for any traveler! You'll find great restaurants, galleries, country inns and exceptional tasting rooms. Friendly and knowledgeable people are waiting to welcome, serve and delight you."

Santa Barbara County Photography: don't miss out on the little things in life

This is one of the most amazing 'quick clicks' I have done in a long time. I was not even photographing this flower on my shoot (obviously it's a little disheveled) and ALL my settings were on manual. What a miracle that I was even able to capture this hummingbird in my frame, let alone in focus while using a 50mm lens on manual. What a break to finally be in the right place at the right time and able to execute manual settings in a matter of seconds. What can I say, I'm pretty happy with this today! I was on a shoot for a local Green-Thumb enthusiast, and I was able to add a little fauna to my flora!

Welcome to the home of Santa Barbara Wine Country Images

Hello and welcome to the first official Photo Blog dedicated to the charming and stunning sights of Santa Barbara's Wine Country! The setting for the photographs in this blog will be the five distinct wine growing regions of SB County; Santa Ynez Valley, Los Alamos Valley, Sta. Rita Hills, Santa Maria Valley, and Happy Canyon of Santa Barbara. Not only will you see the rolling hills of vineyards with sporadic towering Oak trees and macro shots of wine grapes to their wine bottles, but also the surrounding sights and activities you will find when visiting these cherished spots within wine country itself.
